Meet Mr. Muhammad Umar Pasha, an accomplished Banker who currently serves as Group Head of Service Quality, Marketing & Corporate Communication at Al Baraka Bank Head Office. His journey from the classrooms of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) to a key leadership position in the banking sector reflects determination, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
An ICBian Through and Through
Mr. Pasha spent his formative years at ICB, studying from Prep to 10th grade, and proudly completed his SSC/F.Sc. in 1998. His time at the college was not just about academics — it was about shaping a mindset of hard work, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
Mentors Who Shaped His Journey
Throughout his time at ICB, Umar Pasha was fortunate to be guided and inspired by many distinguished educators whose dedication and mentorship left a profound impact on his academic and personal growth.
His early schooling years were enriched under the guidance of Madam Sabiha Shariq (Class Teacher – Prep C), Madam Tahira Munir (Class Teacher – I A), Madam Zaidi (Urdu Teacher), Madam Shagufta Aslam (Class Teacher – 3A & 4A), Madam Maik (Class Teacher – 5A), and Madam Lubna (Arts Teacher). Their encouragement and teaching laid a strong foundation for his learning journey.
At the college level, he was profoundly influenced by Sir Subhan Ullah, Sir Khalid Niazi, Sir Ashfaq Gill, and Sir Khalid Rehman, while the leadership and vision of Principal Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Khan provided constant motivation and direction.
He also acknowledges the invaluable mentorship of Mr. Farrukh Bashir (Mathematics Teacher), Mr. Farooq Dar, Mr. Anwar Memon, Mr. Zafar Sheikh (Urdu Teacher), Ms. Rukhsana Nazir, Ms. Fareeda (English Teacher), Mr. Shahid Shamsi, and Mr. Hayee Sheikh, whose wisdom and guidance continued to shape his academic excellence.
Together, these mentors played a defining role in shaping Umar Pasha’s journey, instilling in him a lifelong passion for learning, integrity, and achievement.
