Aasiya Rafique Malik’s academic journey began within the historic walls of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB), where she studied from Grade 1 to Grade 5. Though she attended ICB during its early co-educational years, her time there laid the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of knowledge, leadership, and service.

Among her most cherished memories from ICB were the music classes and the Annual Sports Day—events that nurtured her love for expression, discipline, and teamwork. She recalls the profound influence of her early mentors including Madam Shuja Qazi, Madam Bilqees Saifudin, Madam Rehana Yasmin, and Madam Arshad, whose commitment to teaching shaped the values she still carries today.

🎓 Academic Excellence – From Islamabad to the United States

After ICB, Aasiya continued her education at Islamabad College for Girls (ICG F-6/2)—one of the most respected institutions in the capital. There, she earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), followed by a Master’s degree in English Language & Literature from the University of the Punjab. Her academic pursuits extended beyond borders when she travelled to the University of Northern Colorado, USA, where she:

  • Studied English language teaching techniques and methodologies
  • Served as a student teacher/internee, gaining international experience in modern education systems

Her global exposure gave her a broader perspective on education and strengthened her resolve to contribute meaningfully back home in Pakistan.

Aasiya Rafique Malik has served in various prestigious educational roles throughout her career:

  • Former Lecturer, Federal Government College for Women (FGCW) F-7/2
  • Former Associate Professor, ICG F-6/2
  • Current Principal, Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) F-8/1

As Principal of IMCG F-8/1, Aasiya leads with grace, authority, and a deep sense of responsibility. Her leadership style is defined by mentorship, academic integrity, and empowering young women through quality education. Her presence is not only administrative but transformational—impacting both staff and students alike.

In addition to her professional commitments, she has been serving as the General Secretary of the ICG Alumni Association since 2015, strengthening alumni ties, organizing educational events, and supporting former and current students alike.
