It is a matter of immense pride for ICBian.com to present the profile of Ismat Mustafa Khan, an accomplished educationist whose roots trace back to the very heart of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB). As the daughter of the late Ch. Irshad M. Khan, one of ICB’s most respected Principals, Ismat inherited not only the values of discipline, integrity, and leadership but also the passion for shaping young minds.

Her early days spent in the vibrant academic environment of ICB laid the foundation for a lifelong journey in education. Being raised in the home of a visionary educator, she naturally embraced excellence — a quality that has defined her career and earned her a distinguished place in Pakistan’s academic landscape.

Early Education and Academic Brilliance

From the beginning, Ismat Mustafa Khan demonstrated exceptional dedication to her studies. She completed her Primary Education at ICB, before moving to ICG F-6/2, Islamabad, where she continued her academic journey with top honors:

  • SSC (1994) – 1st Division – Science Group

  • HSSC (1996) – 1st Division – Pre-Medical

Her academic trajectory soared as she pursued higher education:

  • B.A (1998) – 1st Division – Geography & Islamic Studies, Government Post Graduate College for Women, Rawalpindi

From Teacher to Principal – A Journey of Dedication

Ismat’s professional journey began in 2002 at Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Girls College, Rawalpindi, where she served for over two decades as an educator and coordinator. She taught at Lower Secondary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary Levels, including O-Levels Geography & History, earning a reputation for her commitment, clarity, and ability to inspire.

In recognition of her leadership skills, she was appointed Principal of OPF Public School Kallar Syedan, where she continues to lead with vision and passion, under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD.

Leadership and Global Recognition

Over the years, Ismat has made her mark not only in Pakistan but also on the international stage. Her achievements include:

  • Winner – Global Teacher Award (AKS Education Awards, India, 2021)

  • Best Global Narrator – 3rd International Symposium on Interdisciplinary Learning & Innovation (2023)

  • Global Executive Member – Global Education Network (Pakistan, 2023)

  • Gold Membership Certificate – Teachers Tribe International (2021)

  • Wall of Fame Award – Teachers Day, India (2021)

  • Lifetime Member – Global Forum for Teacher Educators & Institute of Global Professionals

  • Certified Keynote Speaker – International Conference on Education (Washington DC & Philippines, 2024)

  • Certified Trainer Educator – Asia Pacific Association (2023-24)

She has also been an ISA Coordinator for British Council’s International School Award, resource speaker in international webinars, contributor to research publications, and a published writer on environmental and global issues.

At OPF Girls College Rawalpindi, Ismat played pivotal roles beyond teaching:

  • Subject Coordinator – Social Studies & Pakistan Studies (2003 to date)

  • Section Head (Elementary & Lower Secondary)

  • In-Charge of Co-Curricular Activities, Time Table, Substitutions, Admissions, and Social Media Management

  • Coordinator for Online & On-Campus Chinese Language Classes
