Muneer Farooqui stands as a towering figure in Pakistan’s telecom landscape — a trailblazer whose leadership has shaped some of the country’s most recognized networks. A proud alumnus of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB), his journey from the debate stage at G-6/3 to boardrooms of telecom giants is nothing short of inspiring.

With over three decades of experience, Muneer has held strategic leadership roles at Mobilink, Warid, and Jazz — steering these organizations through revolutionary shifts, from 2G to 4G. As CEO of Warid Telecom for over a decade, he played a pivotal role in establishing the brand as a strong player in Pakistan’s competitive telecom market.

He later served as COO and Advisor to CEO at Jazz, where his insight helped merge and evolve the two major telecom entities. His innovative outlook led him to SkyElectric as Chief Customer Officer, embracing Pakistan’s green tech future before returning to Jazz as Regional Business Head in 2022.

Muneer earned his M.Sc. in Computer Science from Preston University after completing his B.Sc. in Double Maths and Physics from ICB. His passion for communication started early — as an active member of ICB’s Debate Team — a skill that clearly foreshadowed his ability to lead and inspire.
