🎓 A Journey Rooted in ICB
Sadia Malik’s educational journey began as a young girl walking the corridors of Islamabad College for Boys (ICB)—an experience that ignited her passion for learning and shaped the teacher she would one day become. From Prep to Grade 5 at ICB, she absorbed values of discipline, dedication, and excellence that would guide her for life.
She later moved to Islamabad College for Girls (ICG), completing her SSC in 1992 and FSc in 1994, carrying forward the torch first lit at ICB. Those formative years laid the foundation for her commitment to education, leadership, and service.

Sadia fondly remembers the influence of her early teachers—Madam Shuja Qazi, Madam Javid, and Madam Rehana Yasmin—whose encouragement and guidance instilled in her the confidence to dream big and work hard.

With over 25 years of service to the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad, Ms. Malik has grown from a Junior Lady Teacher (2000, IMCG F-6/2) to Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and now Associate Professor & Head of the English Department at IMCG F-8/1. She also serves as Academic Coordinator for Grades XI and XII.
Her career blends instructional leadership, curriculum innovation, and teacher training excellence. She has:
Served as Curriculum Expert & Reviewer for the Single National Curriculum (English) at the National Curriculum Council
Contributed to Teleschool during COVID-19 to minimise learning losses
Authored four national English textbooks (Grades 4, 8, 10, 11) for the National Book Foundation
Led as Team Lead (English) for the FDE Assessment Core Committee
Trained teachers nationwide in collaboration with ABCTE (USA)
Empowered young women through public speaking training for the Ministry of Federal Education
Supervised editorial boards, competitions, and moderated national & international events, including:
